OUR STEEL & FORGINGS
The most important factor in determining the durability and build-quality of an instrument is the steel forging or the rough blank from which an instrument is finished. Jack’s Surgical instruments are German forged in Solingen. We partner with some of the city’s oldest and most reputable forging mills, a few of which have been around for more than a century. These mills house dozens of presses stamping out forgings by the thousands daily from surgical grade 300 and 400-series steel. To ensure the integrity of the steel inputs, our quality control team maintains records of steel composition, hardness, boil test, and other certificates.

OUR CRAFTSMEN
While the forging process is largely automated, surgical instruments are mostly finished by hand. Jack’s Surgical partners with a network of skilled craftsmen, many of whom belong to families that have apprenticed in the art of instrument making for generations. Working with such experienced craftsmen and established shops ensures that our products conform to the highest quality standards. Our production facilities hold quality certifications ranging from the internationally recognized ISO 13485 to the European Conformity CE declaration. And because the manufacturing base for instrumentation is quite concentrated, many of our craftsmen’s products eventually make it onto the market under dozens of other brand names. Thus, in many cases, you’ll find our instruments are quite literally the exact same ones you’ve been using, finished by the same craftsman hands, and conforming to the same quality standards that you expect. The only difference is the name stamped on the steel.

OUR GUARANTEE
Jack’s Surgical offers a single grade of premium, operating room quality reusable instruments. Our instruments are high-quality medical devices designed to withstand the rigors of repeated use and sterilization. If properly maintained, their service life can last for thousands of cases. We do not, like other brands, offer an “economy” or “floor” grade line of instrumentation. That being said, our instruments are backed by our lifetime manufacturer’s warranty, which covers everything except routine maintenance, normal wear, and tear and misuse. If anything goes wrong with one of our products, rest assured knowing that you have a comprehensive warranty backing up your purchase – from our towel clips all the way to our table-mounted retractor systems.
